Field Watch Program

Join the Field Check Program to Protect Your Pollinators from Commercial or Agricultural Chemical Application

The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Customer Services (VDACS) has joined several other states concerned about protecting their pollinators in adopting the Field Check Program. This voluntary program allows beekeepers to register the location of their hives in a national database that commercial pesticide applicators can check before they apply chemicals to the area. The registration process is quick and easy and must be renewed annually. The service is free. For more information or to register, please go to the VDACS website - https://www.vdacs.virginia.gov/pesticides.shtml
