MEMBERSHIP

By joining VSBA you are supporting the work of beekeepers around the state and promoting best practices in beekeeping. VSBA membership provides you with a source for following the latest news, research and regulations that impact bees and their keepers. Your VSBA membership also provides an opportunity to network with the Virginia Legislature through our legislative liaison, as well as voting rights at our annual meeting. Most importantly, the more we network and learn from each other, the better we care for bees.

What VSBA does for its members

• Maintains a comprehensive website on Virginia specific beekeeping information.
• Provides a topical newsletter emphasizing VSBA and Virginia specific information.
• Provide contact information for all local beekeeping organizations on our local club page.
• Representation for all areas in the state of Virginia through the Regional Representative Program.
• Emphasizes education through the Master Beekeeper Program and The Virtual VSBA Speaker Series and our Biannual meetings.
• Lists available training and educational programs on our Virginia Beekeeping classes page.
• Provides representation with State government agencies on policies affecting beekeeping in our state.
• Maintains Calendar of specific state and regional events, and a page listing available local and national conferences.
• Funds Pollinator research grants and our new upcoming scholarship program.
